About our charity

Originally 'The Society for the Protection of Women and Children' and the second oldest charity in New Zealand, Home & Family has evolved into a child-focused organisation dedicated to 'protecting childhoods'. We provide therapy, youth mentoring, parenting and family violence supports for over 1300 tamariki and whānau every year across Canterbury.
